Ikechukwu Sharpe was born and raised in Germantown, Maryland. His interdisciplinary practice utilizes photography, moving image and sound to express the profound interconnectedness and rhythms of the more-than human world. Through a meditative and intentional process, his work investigates regenerative forms of ecological care, focusing on renewing the spiritual legacy and ancestral kinship Black communities hold with earth.

About Ahron: Based in the Hudson Valley & NYC, Ahron is a photographer who specializes in shooting Portraiture, Music & Theater. He is the company photographer for the Atlantic Theater and has been working there since he studied with them via New York University. He is honored to document theater history with the premiers of new works such as Buena Vista Social Club and The Band’s Visit. One of his favorite moments in music was getting to work with Levon Helm on his Grammy Award winning album Dirt Farmer. Ahron has recently opened an art space and gallery called CURRENT in Salisbury Mills, NY in the Hudson Valley. Current supports local artists, giving them a space to create and show in. Ahron is documenting the artists’ process as well as create portraits of them. Ahron’s work has appeared in Rolling Stone; O, The Oprah Magazine; New York Magazine; The New York Times; The Wall Street Journal; The New York Post; The Village Voice; Time Out New York; Time Out Chicago; Relix; Uncut; The Washington Post; The Philadelphia Inquirer; Mojo; Harp Magazine; Elmore; and No Depression.
